Introduction

This website is a part of my sophomore project called the I-Search. I'm dedicating this website to convey the message of the environmental, as well as economic issues involved with using fossil fuels. I am aiming to become an Industrial Engineer and I hope to spread the word on how they can impact the world. One way in doing so is by increasing energy efficiency which oftentimes has a positive affect on the environment and economy. There are many negative effects that fossil fuels have on the earth and you can see these by clicking on the links to the left. Other methods of energy production have been established but have not been popular.  You can learn about these alternate methods by clicking on the left as well. Industrial Engineers are not working to directly discover new methods of obtaining energy, but they try to improve efficiency in the industry. One of these ways of improving efficiency is by eliminating the waste of energy, or by doing more with less energy.  However these alternate methods of obtaining energy are very important and I hope this web page encourages others to support them by becoming less reliant on fossil fuels.
